648. The Joy of the Giver

If one receives joy from serving the King, it means that he enjoys the King’s pleasure, but his joy from serving the King does not merit a name.

For example, say, after he takes his suitcase, he feels a wonderful pleasure about it. Yet, if he knows that there is another person who, if he takes his suitcase, the King will be more pleased, if he relinquishes the pleasure because his whole aim is to delight the King.
