339. The filth in the foreigner, even though he has converted, it is hard for him to separate the filth for up to three generations. It is much more so that it is difficult to separate from him while he is a foreigner. The most upright among them, Ruth, we find no blemish in her at all, and this is the noetic soul. 340. It is written, “And placed a throne for the king’s mother.” This is Ruth the Moabite, who was rewarded with seeing king Solomon on his throne.

341. As her heart was whole, so he completed her days and years, as it is written, “May your reward be complete.” It is written Shlema [complete], and we read Shlomo [Solomon], teaching that she saw King Solomon on his throne, and saw her reward in this world and in the next world.
