A Near Redeemer and a Far Redeemer

617. At that time, in the morning, the redeemer comes, Yesod of ZA, for then is the time of the coupling of ZA and Malchut, when Israel pray a prayer and attach the redemption, meaning the blessing “Redeemer of Israel,” to the Eighteen Prayer. At that time, it is considered that Israel are in the holy land, Malchut.

When he does not attach redemption to prayer, then ZA and Malchut are not adjacent, and Malchut walks in exile. When she is separated from ZA, it is regarded for her as exile.

618. It is written, “And behold, the redeemer, of whom Boaz had spoken, came by.” This is a nearby redeemer, nearer to redemption, to the next world, Bina. That redeemer is the upper right, the light of Hesed, the first Sefira after Bina, and for this reason, he is a nearby redeemer.

619. “So he said, ‘Come aside, so and so, sit down here.’ “So and so” is a hidden man, for it is written, “Turned his right back,” for until the end of days, Malchut lies in the ground, and the right, Hesed, does not redeem her. And he was then unknown, so and so, meaning the hidden so and so, hidden since the day when the world was created, for the light of Hesed that operated in the first day of the work of creation had been concealed, and will be revealed at the time of the end of days.

620. “I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I impair my own inheritance.” This means that there are two Messiahs, a near redeemer and a far redeemer. The near redeemer is on the right side, the light of Hesed. The far redeemer is Messiah son of Joseph, Joseph who is called “righteous,” Yesod of ZA, and Boaz is Yesod of ZA, and he is the Messiah who comes first.

621. “I cannot redeem it for myself,” since the right which is to the back, as it is written, “turned his right back,” it is written about it, “Save with Your right, and answer me,” and until this one is saved, I will not be able to redeem it for myself.

622. This is so because the Messiah son of Joseph, Yesod of ZA, will come and be redeemed first. Afterwards, the hidden light of the right will awaken, the first light that operated on the first day in the work of creation, which is concealed for the two righteous, Tzadik [righteous] and Tzedek [justice], to Yesod of ZA, who is called “righteous,” and to Yesod of Malchut, who is called “justice.” By this, they will rise and connect in passion in concealment, to make offspring and fruits in the world, and then, as it is written, “The right hand of the Lord exalts.”

623. And the redeemer said to Boaz, “Buy for yourself,” and he took off his shoe, as it is written, “pulled out and came out from her back.” This speaks about the awakening of the covenant, and speaks in a respectable manner. Because the right has awakened—the light of Hesed—to the righteous, Yesod of ZA, promptly, “and he took off his shoe,” which is his awakening to the bottom world, Malchut. At that time, he awakens to make fruits in the world, “and I was daily His delight.” The day of the Creator is a thousand years, as it is written, “For a thousand years in Your eyes are like yesterday when it is past.”
