One Who Sees Grapes in a Dream
181. One who sees grapes in a dream, if they are white, it is a good sign for him. If they are black, he needs mercy since he is undoubtedly in judgment. Because white grapes keep the upper wine, as they are of white color, it is a good sign for him. The red grapes are the side of judgment, and the black color is judgment, like red, and therefore a bad sign for him.
182. If he sees black grapes in a dream and eats them, he is worthy of the next world. The reason is that he went over the judgment and could eliminate it, since with the eating, he removed them from the world, and he has a part in the good wine of the next world.
If he drinks white wine in his dream, it is a good sign and joy for him, for it indicates that the illumination of Hochma is incorporated with Hesed, white.
If he drinks red wine in his dream, it indicates that there is judgment on him, that the Hochma is not incorporated in Hassadim, and judgments are extended from it.
183. When Jacob, the middle line, approached Isaac his father, the middle line, he gave him of that good, kept wine, of the next world, Bina, since joy and love, love of lovers, is present only when it awakens out of the good wine.
184. For this reason, Isaac, who is from the side of harsh judgment, from the left line, should be made happy with that good wine that comes from afar, as it is written, “And he brought him wine,” from afar, from a high place, from Bina. He extended on him of that joy to delight him. At that time, the anger was sweetened and the harsh judgment was incorporated with mercy, so everything will be as it should.
