The Behaves through Only Two Colors: Hesed and Judgment

1. It is written, “But all the young girls who have not known a man by lying with him keep alive for yourselves.” The world behaves through only two colors, which come from a woman who is wise at heart, as it is written, “and every woman who is wise at heart,” implying Malchut, who is called bottom Hey, “spun with her hands and brought what she had spun: the blue and the purple.”

Blue is judgment; purple is mercy [Rachamim]. Only two colors are brought, the blue and the purple, the colors incorporated inside colors, since purple contains white, red, and green, and blue contains the black color.

2. It is written, “She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands.” Every woman is called “judgment” until she tastes the taste of Rachamim, until she marries a man, and the male is Rachamim, since the white in the newborn, Rachamim, comes from the man, and from the woman’s side comes the red in the newborn, judgment. When the woman tastes from the white, Rachamim, she prefers the white, since the white that is incorporated with judgment is the heart of the wholeness.

3. Women from other nations who had known a man are forbidden because there are right and left, Israel are right, and the other nations are left. The Garden of Eden is right, Hell is left. This world is left, the next world is right. Hence, Israel correspond to Rachamim, and the other nations to judgment.

A woman who marries one from Israel, who has tasted the taste of Rachamim from him, the Rachamim defeat the judgment, just as once a woman has tasted the white, she prefers the white. But a woman who connects with a gentile, judgment, tastes from him the taste of judgment, and judgment clings to judgment. It is written about them, “And the dogs are brazen; they know no satiation.”

4. Hence, one who has intercourse with a gentile is connected to him like a dog. As the dog is strong in spirit and brazen, so is judgment with judgment when they adhere: strong in spirit and brazen against everything.

5. One who has intercourse with Israel, it is written, “And you who are adhered to the Lord your God are alive every one of you today,” since the soul of Israel comes from the spirit of the living God, as it is written, “for the spirit would grow faint before Me,” meaning that the spirit is from Him, for it is written, “before Me.” For this reason, a virgin woman, who did not adhere to the harsh judgment of the other nations and adhered to Israel, the Rachamim defeat the judgment and she becomes kosher [fit/worthy/permitted].

6. It is written, “For I have said, ‘Hesed [mercy] shall be built up forever.’” Hesed is one of the top Sefirot of the king, ZA. The souls of Israel, the Creator calls them Hesed on condition that they are built with Hesed, and the Hesed will not be abolished from the world. This is the meaning of the words “shall be built up forever.”

7. For this reason, one who abolishes Hesed from the world will be abolished from the next world. This is why it is written, “The widow of the dead man shall not be married to a stranger,” in order to do Hesed with the dead and for a structure to be made, meaning so he would have a son in his name, as it is written, “Hesed shall be built up forever.”
