14. It is a commandment for the priest to set up each day the candles in the Temple, as it is above, since the upper light in the anointing oil first descends on the head of the top priest, GAR of ZA, and then lights up and illuminates all the candles, the Sefirot of Malchut, who are the lights of fire, as it is written, “as the good oil on the head.” It is also written, “for the consecration of the anointing oil of his God is on him.” This is why only the priest is given permission to set up the candles and light them twice each day, corresponding to the illumination of the unification, which is twice, and the Korban Tamid [perpetual daily sacrifice], which is twice each day.

15. Through the priest, the candles shine above and below, to rejoice in joy, and for joy to be on all sides, the right and the left, while lighting the candles and in the incense, as it is written, “Oil and incense delight the heart.”
