Zohar for All, Volume 6

All Its Fruit Shall Be Holy, an Offering of Praise to the Lord.

124. “When you enter the land and plant fruit trees, leave the fruit unharvested for the first three years and consider it forbidden. Do not eat it. And in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, an offering of praise to the Lord.” The tree, ZA, bears fruit only in the earth, in Malchut. The earth produces them and shows those fruits to the world. The earth does not bear fruit unless through some other force upon her, from ZA, just as every female does not bear fruit unless through the male.

125. The fruit that Malchut produces is not fully completed until after three years, until Malchut receives three lines from ZA, and the force over it is not appointed until it is completed. After it is completed, the force is appointed over it and the earth is corrected by it. Before the three years, before she receives all three lines, the earth is not corrected by ZA and is not completed with him. After Malchut is completed and they are established together, it is wholeness.

126. Before the Nukva, Malchut, was impregnated three times, her offspring, the soul, is not completed. There must be three lines in it, where in each line, there are three lines, since three impregnations correspond to three lines, and in each impregnation, there are three lines. After three impregnations, the Nukva is established with a fruit, and they are summed up together, since ZA, right, and Malchut, left, are summed together only by the force of the middle line, which contains three lines, where in each line there are three lines. At that time, that fruit, the soul, is the wholeness of everything and the beauty of everything.

After the fruit emerges and grows from it, before the three years, it does not have a force from above, since the fruit itself also needs the illuminations of the three lines, like Malchut, which are three years, for then its growth is completed. Hence, prior to this, they are three years of foreskin. Levi, which went through three impregnations, was chosen from among all the tribes, since it is the third to its mother, who was corrected with him and was perfumed with him.

127. After three years, an upper force is appointed over it from above. In the fourth year, “all its fruit shall be holy,” praises to praise the Creator. On the fourth year, the assembly of Israel makes a coupling with the Creator, ZA, and one joy is present, as it is written, “an offering of praise, which is celebration and joy at the same time.

128. On the fourth year, it is the Creator, ZA. The fourth year is the assembly of Israel, Malchut, who is the fourth to the throne. The three lines HGT of ZA are the three legs of the upper throne, and Malchut is the fourth leg of the throne. There is no question about what was said, that the fourth year is the Creator, since it is all one, for then the Creator makes a coupling with the assembly of Israel, and therefore, it is possible to call Him ZA, and it is possible to call Him Malchut. At that time, it is holy, and a holy praise is present. Then, armies are appointed over the world, on each thing as is appropriate for it. From here on, all are blessed and it is permitted to eat the fruits, since everything is in all the wholeness, in the completeness of above and of below, the completeness of ZA and of Malchut.

129. Before it is completed from above and from below, it is forbidden to eat from it. One who eats from it is as one who has no part in the Creator and in the assembly of Israel, since that fruit stands without the permission of the high and holy one, ZA, since it is not present on it until it is completed, and without the permission of the lower one, Malchut, for the force of the earth in it was not perfumed before the fourth year passes on it, for the coupling of ZA and Malchut has not yet been done. One who eats from it shows about himself that he has no part above and below, in ZA and in Malchut. If he blesses on it, it is a wasted blessing, for until now, the Creator is still not on it and has no part in it. May the Merciful One save us from those who do not mind the honor of their master.

130. Happy are the righteous in this world and in the next world. It is written about them, “The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn,” since in the future, the serpent that was initially on the female and was suckling from her will move away, and the male will come to be in its place, as in the beginning, in a never-ending coupling, for there is no longer anyone to separate the coupling, and everything will be complete.
