Rosh [head] Geza [stem], and Trail
344. The whole of the complete unification is in the names “The Lord our God the Lord,” since he is “from the top of the rocks,” upper Abba, and he is unified in the Rosh and in the stem and in the trail. HaVaYaH is the upper Rosh, the rising air, the top of the rocks, Abba, pure air, our God, as it is written, “from the stem of Yishai,” Bina, who is “and from the hills.” HaVaYaH is the bottom trail, ZA, Vav. It is written about it, “I see him,” a step outside. For this, he united with him, since he expanded in the Vav, the trail, the step outside.
345. Happy are you, Rabbi Shimon, that you have been rewarded with the high words of your master, and your master wanted you. Great is the measure of expansion of this trail in a high measure in the Rosh, in the stem, and in the trail, and they clothed in this expansion. Hence, the expansion of the letter Aleph is the measure of VAK, and everything is united in this letter. This is why it is written, “A people dwelling alone,” as it should be.
346. Israel have writing and a language. In each letter, they can look into the shape and the depiction properly, to understand the sublime secrets in them. However, as it is written, “and not counting itself among the nations,” since they do not have original writing and language that will be depicted according to the upper forms. They cannot examine and know anything in the shape of their writing because as it is written, “they are worthless, a work of delusion,” since their writing and language are only agreements, that people agreed on these shapes and language. It will not regard their thought or observation on the shapes of their letters since they have no writing. Happy are Israel.
347. “Who can count the dust of Jacob and number the fourth part of Israel?” The upper point, which is upper AVI, her head, and trunk, and trail, which are Rosh-Toch-Sof, meaning HBD-HGT-NHY, is concealed. She is not poised for a question outside, since in AVI, the Yod does not exit the Avir [air]. However, from the moment she has begun to be built and become a hall by His will, which is called MI, which is YESHSUT, the actual form of AVI began to be built, which is ZA, who has the form of Abba, who is upper AVI. Afterwards, he took out his Nukva, Malchut, in the shape of his mother, who is YESHSUT, Bina.
348. MI is Rosh-stem-trail, meaning Rosh-Toch-Sof, which are HBD-HGT-NHY of YESHSUT. He expands to be built in the expansion of one hall; he built to two sides, to ZA and to Malchut. Hence, although he elicited Israel, Vav, ZA, he also elicited his Nukva together, and invited her to him.
“Count” is as it is written, “The king assigned them a daily…” as well as “of sending gifts to one another” [“assign” and “gift” have a similar meaning to “count”]. That is, MI, YESHSUT, gave ZA a great and respectable gift, Malchut, and elicited her together with him. In that expansion he expanded, he elicited both of them together, at the same time, meaning that Bina elicited ZON at once, as it is written, “Who can count the dust of Jacob.” MI, Bina, YESHSUT, counted; she gave a great gift, which is dust, Malchut, to Jacob, ZA.
349. “And number the fourth part of Israel.” The fourth part of Israel means the fourth of the quality of Israel, ZA, who is a covenant, Yesod of ZA. It is called “fourth” because the measure of the body is four covenants. A covenant is a fourth, to the extent of the measure of the body. MI, Bina, elicited all of it. This is why it is written, “Who can count the dust of Jacob and number the fourth part of Israel,” since MI emanated everything.
The middle line is called “Guf” [body]. There are three lines in the middle line, ZA: 1) The right line is Hochma-Hesed-Netzah. 2) The left line is Bina-Gevura-Hod. 3) The middle line is Keter-Daat-Tifferet-Yesod.
Thus, there are four Sefirot Keter-Daat-Tifferet-Yesod in the Guf, the middle line. It follows that Yesod is the fourth part of the middle line. We should measure four covenants in the measuring of the body, four-times, like the measure of the covenant, which are four Sefirot Keter-Daat-Tifferet-Yesod. It follows that the covenant is Yesod, a fourth of the Guf. This is why it is written, “the fourth part of Israel,” about Yesod.
