A Fountain of Gardens
310. It is written, “A fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and streams from Lebanon.” Is there a fountain only from the gardens, since there are several good and honorable fountains in the world? Yet, not all delights are the same. There is a fountain that springs in the desert, in a dry place; there is delight in it to the one who sits and drinks.
But a fountain of gardens, how good and honorable is that fountain; it does good to the herbs and to the fruits. One who approaches it enjoys everything: enjoys the water, enjoys the herbs, enjoys the fruits. That fountain is decorated with everything. Several fragrant herbs surround it; that fountain is so much more beautiful than the rest of the fountains; it is a well of living water.
311. It is all written about the assembly of Israel, Malchut, who is a fountain of gardens. Who are the gardens? The Creator has five gardens, HGT NH of ZA, in which He is entertained, and one fountain over them, Bina, is concealed and hidden. It waters them and saturates them, and they all bear fruit and offspring. There is one garden below them, Malchut, who receives from the five gardens. That garden is kept all around from all the sides of the world. Under that garden, there are other gardens, in BYA, who make all kinds of fruits.
312. That garden, Malchut, is inverted and becomes a well of living water, a fountain that waters all the gardens in BYA. When needed, it is a fountain; and when needed, it is a well. It is unlike when the waters are drawn by themselves, as in a well, as when pumping water to water, as in a garden
“And streams from Lebanon.” These streams return to being a fountain when water springs out and drops drip from above one-by-one, fresh [sweet] water, which the soul follows. Thus, those five origins, HGT NH of ZA, which stream from the Lebanon, Bina, have become streams in this fountain, Malchut, dripping there drop-by-drop. Thus, the Creator has made a miracle for us in this place, which is why I called that verse after this fountain.
