Question: How should students view the teacher?

Answer: As a grownup friend.

A teacher is not one who terrorizes and frightens, but one whose closeness the children want.

We needn’t create a framework where children are told, “Get up!” or “Sit down!” as if they’re in the military. Instead, there should be a friendly atmosphere in which children and teachers spend many hours together.
