Remember the Days of Old
234. “Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations.” “The days of old” are the six days in which the Creator made the world, as it is written, “For six days the Lord made.” It is written, “For six days,” and not “in six days,” since they are six Sefirot HGT NHY of ZA, which made the world. “Consider the years of many generations,” that the “days of old,” HGT NHY, will know and recognize all those years and days, and each and every generation until this generation that you are in.
235. “Ask your father and he will tell you.” This is the Creator, as it is written, “Is He not your father, who bought you?” “And he will tell you,” he will reveal to you the depth of the wisdom. And what is it? When these six days HGT NHY completed the world, they completed it only for you, so you would come and engage in Torah. Everything that the Creator did, He did on condition that when Israel come, if they receive the Torah, good; and if not, the world will return to chaos. For this reason, these days of old, everyone will know and recognize.
236. These branches of the tree, seventy ministers of the nations grip inside the tree, ZA, so the Creator dispersed the seventy ministers into appointees and protectors over the rest of the nations. It is written about Israel, “For the Lord’s people is His portion, Jacob, the lot of His inheritance,” meaning He did not give them to a minister or to an angel, nor to another appointee, since this people is the Creator’s, He took for His potion.
237. In which place did He find them? It is written, “He found him in a desert land and in the wasteland, a howling wilderness.” It is also written, “Terah, the father of Abraham and of Nahor, and they served other gods. And I took your father Abraham,” and from here He has led Israel in every single generation, and has not parted from them, and has led them with mercy, as it is written, “as an eagle stirs up its nest.”
