And I Will Remove the Spirit of Impurity from the Land
39. Those foreign maidservants are from the side of the potion of death; they are opposite from the Shechina, and are the Nukva of Sam, where the maidservant has become the queen, meaning a maidservant who inherits her mistress. Sam, who is another God, and his Nukva, were servants of the Creator, and afterwards, they made godliness of themselves. The Creator will remove them from the world and obliterate them.
40. If people make godliness of them, and not of their own will, why were they punished with elimination from the world? When the generation of the flood and the generation of Babylon knew them, and burned incense for them and bowed to them, and by that force, that they were burning incense for them and bowing to them, they descended to them and did their will, and they spoke in those forms that they made, they became Godliness and the worship of idols and signs. This is why the Creator was destined to remove them and eliminate them from the world, their images, which they worshiped, and they absorbed from them spirits and images.
41. When there is a mixed multitude in the world, Sam and the Nukva descend by those images in order to be materialized in them. Hence, the Creator will remove them from the world, as it is written, “And I will remove the spirit of impurity from the land.” Is there no idol-worship at the time of the final exile because people do not know them? Those who know there, in the mixed multitude, anger the Creator and His Shechina and Israel, who are between them. The mixed multitude succeed in them to observe what is written, “He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them.”
42. All the Tanaaim and Amoraim arose and greeted Moses. They said to him, “Sinai, Sinai, who can speak before you [in front of you], for you have the form of your Master,” since when he spoke on Mount Sinai, all the animals in the angels were silent, as well as all the animals in the throne, and upper ones and lower ones, and there was no other word but his. “And since you are in His form, all the members of the seminary must hear words from you, do not make your words silent.”
