All My Bones Shall Say

148. “All my bones shall say, ‘Lord, who is like You, delivering the poor from him who is stronger than him, and the poor and the needy from him who plunders him?’” David said this verse in the spirit of holiness.

Who saw that bones should say psalms? However, this verse was said at a time when the Creator is destined to revive the dead. The Creator is destined to correct the bones and bring each and every one near its place, as it is written, “And the bones came together, bone to its bone,” and it is written, “and He will strengthen your bones.” At that time, Israel are destined to say psalms.

149. What psalm do they say? “Lord, who is like You?” This psalm is more important than what Israel said by the sea, since they mentioned the holy name only after three words, as it is written, “Who is like You among the gods, Lord?” and here they bring the holy name sooner, as it is written, “Lord, who is like You?”

“Delivering the poor from him who is stronger than him” refers to the evil inclination, that He saves him from the evil inclination. Because the evil inclination is as strong as a rock, as it is written, “And I will remove the stony heart,” and the good inclination is flesh, as it is written, “And I will give you a heart of flesh.”
