307. David the Messiah had no days to shine and live, and Adam HaRishon drew for him seventy years, which he subtracted from his own years so David would be able to do righteousness for Israel. As David, who was poor and meager, received, so he gave to the poor. It is all in the sentence, as it is written, “And David administered judgment and justice to all his people.”
