A Righteous Who Must Depart Must Reveal Hochma

206. It is written, “For I proclaim the name of the Lord; give greatness to our God.” “Give greatness, greatness, Hesed. “The rock, His work is complete,” is Gevura. “For all His ways are sentence” is Tifferet. “A God of faith” is Netzah, “without wrongdoing” is Hod. “He is righteous and upright.” “Righteous is Yesod, and “upright” is Malchut. Thus, it is all the holy name of the Creator, the seven Sefirot HGT NHYM. This is why it is written, “For I will proclaim the name of the Lord.”

207. He is the actual name HaVaYaH, which Moses revealed to them at that time to Israel, as it is written, “I am one hundred and twenty years old today; I can no longer go out and come in. …And now write down this song for yourselves, and teach it to the children of Israel.” That righteous in whom there is sublime wisdom, when it is his time to depart from the world, he must reveal that wisdom to those who have the holy spirit among them. How do we know this? From Moses, for it is written, “I am one hundred and twenty years old today,” and it is written, “And now write down this song for yourselves,” that he revealed to them what he had not revealed to them until then.

208. If he does not reveal the wisdom to them, it is written about him, “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,” which is the Torah, which is called “good,” as it is written, “For I give you good teaching.” “When it is within your power to act,” before he departs from the world, before you have no permission to disclose.
